10:02 am - This Game!

So yesterday, I played some DDR for the first time for serious in utter months. I got my ass kicked, was reaching for air, developed some lactic acid in my legs, and got a headache from trying too hard. It felt gooooood. I don't know if anyone still reads this community since most of the members have probably moved on and what not, but I thought I'd post it here just because in the middle of playing I was reminded of the great memories I had with playing the game with people.

Yes, I still play the game, 8+ years and counting.

current mood: happy

2:40 am - DDR Petition

I was fixing a few errors, and added some things from the rewrite. If you have any suggestions, or corrects. Any would be helpful

To Fun Station Inc.,

We would like to strongly urge your facility to carry Dance Dance Revolution : Super Nova.

Many people have requested for a Dance Dance Revolution machine in the past. Previously, the problem with obtaining a Dance Dance Revolution stemmed from the fact that most Dance Dance Revolution machines are not only bootleg, but also Konami licensed the music for use in Japan only. It is also understood that ordering used machines, are generally a bad idea.

Fortunately Super Nova is not only the newest version being released. It is also a true and legal U.S. arcade release. Betson Enterprises will distribute this new release. Betson Enterprises has a very respectable reputation, and is Konami’s official distributor. Dance Dance Revolution : Super Nova will contain over 300 songs, with 2000 dance charts for players to dance to. Not only is there a wide variety of new content, it contains all the songs from the last arcade release. The new cabinets created for this release, are said to be of very high quality. They even include a high definition flat screen.

We can guarantee success with this new machine. It is user friendly to people who are just starting out. As well as having options to cater to even the most seasoned of players. With its wide variety of song and modes, it will always have something new for people to come back to. People will drive long distances just to play the new Dance Dance Revolution release. Not only will they come to play Dance Dance Revolution, they will also enjoy the other games and activities that your fine establishment has to offer.

This proposal isn’t just about what we the fans who come to the arcade want, but what it can do for one of our favorite places in town. Your facility is the one and only real arcade in town. Having consideration for this proposal would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading, and we look forward to doing more business with your establishment.

The Undersigned

Also here is the site i've worked on and off. It's a bit incomplete at the moment, but hopefully it will be useful by the time it's at Fun Station. Maybe I could even get a IIDX group going in the future.

Thanks for your message. The new game will not be coming out until
Late Spring so you have to be patient. If your local arcade is looking to
purchase SuperNOVA, let them know that they should contact their local

Go Out and Play!

Message : I have been pushing my local arcade to get a DDR machine. With the
annoucement of Super NOVA, it looks like it's going to happen. I was
wondering if what steps or ways (where to order, where to refer to, etc) I
could help point them to in order to ensure they get it?

I was thinking it would be March,..but this could mean by April or May.

7:06 pm - Perfect!

If you haven't heard, it's very likely we will SuperNOVA in Fun Station. In order to push them into preordering it, I was going to run a petition if anyone wants to sign. With the machine there, I figure I should start a DDR club. Just as there is a Pump It Up club. To accompany that i've started on a website. While making it, I figure instead of just focusing on DDR in Fun Station. I would focus on DDR in Tallahassee as a whole. If anyone wants to know more, join, help, etc.. Feel free to comment.

8:42 pm - Come here and play!

It has come to my attention that we need another big ass DDR bash over at the SLB like the one that occurred on the 8th of September last year. Since Thursday nights are not an option (woooooooooo for work!), I am aiming for a Wednesday night or a Saturday night. The hope is to have the US stuff, the Japanese stuff, and ITG at least available for playing. Oh yes, I hope to be using both tvs over at the SLB, because typically during the day there's some guys playing Melee or Naruto on one of the tvs on a cube.

I'm aiming for sometime in February, probably early or mid February. I'll probably post this on facebook as the time gets closer for everybody to make plans to at least be able to chill with a few of the dancing folks here and meet new people.

Occasionally, I'm over at the slb playing DDR in the middle of the day. Everybody is free to call me for get up and go action 853-2753; however, I have obligations on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday nights.

10:50 pm - No more flux pads, this might be the real deal folks

Hey all, I discovered this community via Todd's LJ, so I thought I'd add on. Allow me to introduce myself.

I am A-Train, one of the legendary ddr sannin when TILT was around (along with soul, zvidun, and twisted silence). I graduated last fall and moved back down where I took a break from DDR.

In short, I just wanted to announce that there's a slight possibility that I might try to get the SLB to let me purchase a DDREX machine in the lobby. Every so often I'd come up and empty it out and do hardcore maintenance on the pads (no TILT pads for us, thank you very much).

I would love for Team Tallahassee to rise again, for Tally to have the best DDR players in the state (and region). Back in the day our players were well respected, be it freestyle or tech.

If someone would, get some contact info for me so I can email the person in charge of the SLB about this. I'd love to put DDR back into tally :)

9:05 pm - DDR meetups sponsored by the slb???

Ok, so I went over there today to watch The Phantom of the Opera. On the screen before the showing, there was an ad for DDR @ the SLB meeting on Mondays from 9:30 to 11:30. Anybody here been to one of them? I was wondering if they bought new pads or the other US mixes of DDR.

I cannot be present for DDRing on these dates. Sorry. I have certain recitals at the School of Music which I am required to attend - they just happened to fall on Thursday. Any problems/issues, hit me up at 850-853-2753 and leave a message.
